Soggy End to the Week

A tropical air mass will keep things soggy through the end of the week. Showers will be steady this morning and become more scattered as the day goes on. Highs will only reach the low 80s under cloudy skies. TD Nicholas has mostly dissipated over Louisiana, but what is left of the storm is helping to funnel Warm, gulf moisture ahead of a weak boundary from the north. Off the coast of Carolinas, a low-pressure system will enter into a more conducive environment and will likely become our next named storm over the next 24 hours. Regardless of development, this storm will also help push moisture in the region Friday keeping the chance for rain and storms elevated. A strong rip current risk will be likely off the Carolina coast, before this system moves north and east, away from land late Friday. Isolated storm chances will remain this weekend with highs back into the mid-80s. A series of disturbances will bring storm chances back early next week.
