CHARLOTTE – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation near the 1700 block of Harland Street in the North Division.
On Sunday, around 5 a.m., officers responded to a noise complaint call for service near the 1700 block of Harland Street. When they arrived, they located a victim with an apparent gunshot wound inside of a house. The victim, identified as 34-year-old Sir Marquise Battle, was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
Two other victims were transported with serious life-threatening injures by Medic.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
