Wilson’s World: At Queens University of Charlotte Where A Large Menorah For Hanukkah Is On Display

CHARLOTTE, NC — Wilson spoke with the artist that has installed a large Menorah for Hanukkah on display at Queen’s University on Selwyn Avenue.  ‎
Every year Jewish families and community members worldwide celebrate the victory of the Maccabees and the miracle of the Menorah burning brightly for eight full days.
Mike Wirth is an educator and artist whose work has been displayed at Rockefeller Center, the Split New Media Film Fest in Croatia, and the WRO in Poland.‎ He has once again created a mural for Hanukkah on the campus of Queens University of Charlotte. The Menorah will be lit each night of Hanukkah by a member of the Jewish community. Wirth will stream the lighting on Instagram from the Selwyn Avenue location.
