Gastonia Man Arrested For Cutting Two People, Threatening Another At Pub

GASTONIA, N.C. — A 34-year-old man has been arrested after being accused of cutting two people and threatening another with a sharp object inside a downtown Gastonia pub early Saturday, according to the police department.

The Gastonia Police Department responded to a pub, located on West Main Avenue, around 12:10 a.m. after a report of a stabbing.

Through an investigation it was determined that the Gastonia suspect was harassing people at the pub and was asked to leave. While being asked to leave, the suspect used a sharp weapon to cut a 32-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman, according to police. The suspect also threatened a 30-year-old man with the weapon.

The two victims who were cut were treated by authorities for injuries at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Perry Lemmon by police, was located outside of the pub and taken into custody. Lemmon has been arrested and charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, according to police.

He is being held on a $25,000 bond, according to a news release.
