Edge On The Clock: NOAA Reports Weather Disasters Have Cost U.S. $750B Over Past 5 Years

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is reporting that weather disasters have cost the U.S. $750 billion over the past five years. In 2021, there were 20 weather disasters nationwide that cost the country at least a billion dollars each, such as the historic deep freeze in Texas. In fact, 2021 was the second consecutive year with 20 or more billion-dollar disasters.

Plus, Pepperidge Farm is launching goldfish for adults. The new product is called Goldfish Mega Bites, and as the name implies, they’re bigger than the regular snack crackers.

And, Minor League Baseball now has its first female manager. Rachel Balkovec confirmed Sunday that she’ll manage the Tampa Tarpons. The Tarpons are affiliated with the New York Yankees.
