CLT Possibly Days Away From 1st Substantial Snowfall In Years: What Is The Perfect Amount?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – People all across the Charlotte area are preparing for the possibility of some wintry weather this weekend! A strong winter storm system could bring us a sizeable amount snow on Sunday. The storm is still several days out, so it’s too soon to tell exactly what we’ll see. It could bring us sleet, freezing rain, snow or a little bit of a mix.

People in our area have some mixed feelings about the wintry weather:

“I’m really excited because I moved here from Louisiana so I’ve never really seen snow that much.”
“It’s snow, it never happens so when it does, it’s a lot of fun.”
“I was just in the mountains last week, and I saw snow, so I don’t need to see it again!”

The last time we saw a substantial amount of snow in Charlotte was back in 2018, when nearly three inches fell.

Our question of the night: what is the perfect amount of snowfall?
