Shoppers Find Plenty Of Empty Shelves In Charlotte Grocery Stores Ahead Of Storm
CHARLOTTE — If you haven’t finished your grocery shopping yet, you may have run out of time. We found empty store shelves across Charlotte as people are gearing up for the storm.
There were long lines of shoppers at the Food Lion on Eastway. Inside the store, bananas were almost gone, only a few packages of chicken wings remained, and the store was nearly out of bread and milk.
“I bought hot dog buns, cause I couldn’t find any bread, but bread is bread,” says Shay Burrough, Charlotte Resident.
Store employees restocked a few of the shelves with some food. Most grocery stores in the area closed at 10 pm Saturday night.
