Control Your Devices From Your Brain? Elon Musk Says His New Brain Chip Is Ready For Human Testing

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Billionaire tech guru Elon Musk appears to gearing up to begin testing his brain computer chip in humans.

Musk’s company Neuralink is looking to recruit a director to run human trials for the chip which suggests the trials will start soon.

According to Neuralink’s website, the goal of the device is to allow people to transmit and receive information between their brain and a computer wirelessly.

In real world context that means a paralyzed person implanted with the chip could control their laptop or mobile phone just by thinking about it.

The chip has already been tested in animals.
