Edge On The Clock: Wrong Numbers, Menu Hacks, And Bugging Off

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A random text from a NASCAR Hall of Famer, McDonald’s gets creative with their menu, and getting over a former flame this Valentine’s Day – all on Edge on the Clock.

Random Text From NASCAR Hall of Famer

If you got a random text from someone claiming to be NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. would you believe them?

The racer says he’s trying to convince a complete stranger he’s not a scammer after accidentally sending a text to the wrong person.

He says he tried to reach out to rapper Post Malone to send him some of his new rock vodka but his number changed and he reached a stranger instead.

Earnhardt says he’s trying to persuade the other person to take a free bottle anyway.

McDonald’s is switching up its menu. Starting January 31st the fast food chain will start offering four fan-curated “menu hacks”.

They include the Hash Brown McMuffin which is a sausage McMuffin but with hashbrowns instead of bread.

A Crunchy Double which is nuggets inside a double cheeseburger.

The Land, Air & Sea combines a chicken sandwich, a Big Mac, and a Filet-o-Fish in one bun.

Lastly, Surf and Turf puts together a double cheeseburger and a Filet-o-Fish.

Getting Over Your Ex This Valentine’s Day

Zoos across the country want to help you get over your former flame this Valentine’s Day.

Several locations including the Bronx Zoo in New York and the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago will let you make a cockroach after your ex for a $15 donation.

At Lehigh Valley Zoo in Pennsylvania and the San Antonio Zoo in Texas you can even see the critter named after your ex be fed to the animals.

It’s not limited to just former partners either.

You can also name it after a boss or even your best friend.
