Cold Closes Out Weekend, Warming Up for Week Ahead

Some of the warmest air we've seen in nearly a month arrives by the latter half of the workweek.

After three winter storms over a two-week period, the Carolinas are finally ready to thaw out. After tonight’s lows in the teens and 20s across the board, warmer air settles in as we turn the page to February. Highs return to the 50s in the Piedmont by Monday, waxing into the mid-60s by Thursday afternoon. Mostly sunny skies prevail through the first two days of the workweek ahead, but rain returns to the forecast by Wednesday night. Rain chances persist into Friday.

No snow is in the forecast over the next seven days (for now).
