CHARLOTTE — A local community is helping to support a school leader who lost everything in a house fire. Shannon Hamilton is the principal of Long Creek Elementary School.
Her family’s Northeast Charlotte home was destroyed in a fire on Tuesday. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Long Creek Elementary has set up a Gofundme account to help the family. The school is also accepting donations such as gift cards. Hamilton has two children, ages 6 months old and 5 years old.
