Temperatures, Rain Chances Steadily Rise
As we head into February, the focus will be more on warmth and rain rather than cold and snow.
It’s no pool day, but today’s high of 51° in Charlotte is the warmest we’ve seen in five days. After struggling to get much above freezing for the first half of the weekend, a steady warm-up arrives as we turn the page to February. Expect partly-to-mostly sunny skies and highs in the 40s and 50s across the board to kick off the workweek. By Wednesday, more clouds will move in as Piedmont highs crack the 60s. A strong cold front approaches the Carolinas Wednesday night, but significant rain chances hold off until Thursday and Friday. Colder and drier weather return by next weekend.
