CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — The Caldwell County Health Department, public library, and emergency services are working together to provide free N-95 masks to the community starting on Wednesday.
The free, state-supplied N-95 masks will be available at Caldwell County Public Library branches beginning on Feb. 2.
Each person will be given two masks while supplies last.
Along with the masks, recipients will receive a handout detailing how to properly use the masks.
“State guidance recommends people wear a well-fitting, high-quality mask with multiple layers: a surgical or procedure mask, a KN95, or an N95,” Caldwell County Public Health Director Anna Martin said. “We hope making the N-95 masks available to our community will encourage everyone to wear a well-fitting, multi-layer mask.”
