Man Hospitalized After Monroe Shooting

MONROE, N.C. — The Monroe Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a man hospitalized Tuesday evening.

According to police, the shooting happened in the area of Cherry Street in Monroe around 5:20 p.m.

The victim was transported to Atrium Health in Charlotte with life-threatening injuries after being shot.

Monroe police are seeking assistance from anyone that may have information in reference to this shooting.
