Mecklenburg Co. To Resume At Home COVID-19 Test Kit Distribution Program

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Beginning Monday, February 7th, residents across Mecklenburg County can once again get their hands on free at-home COVID-19 tests at designated library branches and health department locations.

Mecklenburg County Public Health received an additional supply of COVID-19 rapid antigen home testing kits earlier this week.

“We are pleased to be able to continue our partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Library to better serve residents who are facing barriers to getting tested for COVID,” said Dr. Raynard Washington, MCPH Director.

Officials say test kits will be available via curbside pick-up at designated locations.

One test will be given to each County resident at no cost.

Officials say no ID, insurance, or appointment is required and tests will be available while supplies last.
