Warming Up With Rain Moving In

Grab your rain gear! Rain is moving in and will be on and off through Friday.

Weather Headlines:
– Increasing rain chances to close out the week
– Above average temperatures dominate the rest of the week
– Cooler temperatures move in for the weekend
– Watching for the potential for wintry precipitation Sunday – models are backing off a bit.

Much warmer tonight with overnight lows in the mid 40s. Clouds dominate our skies with a few showers likely. Rain coverage will be scattered through the day Thursday with high temperatures in the mid 60s. Showers increase to widespread on Friday as a cold front moves through the area. The mountains will likely get 1-2” of rain with 0.50-1” likely across the Piedmont. Temperatures drop in wake of Fridays cold front with highs in the upper 40s. We are once again watching for the potential of a wintry mix on Sunday. As of 4:00 PM Wednesday, models are in complete disagreement. It may happen, it may not. For now, we watch.

Thursday: AM patchy fog. Scattered showers. High: 67. Wind: S 5-10

Friday: Widespread rain through the first half of the day. High: 68. Wind: S 10-20.
