GASTONIA, N.C. — Residents 5-years-old and up can get their initial COVID vaccine or a booster dose this Saturday as community partners hold the first Gaston County Vaxathon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Gaston County Public Health Department is working with pharmacies, healthcare providers and other partners in the community to hold the event.
No appointment is needed and 10 different locations across the county will be participating.
Vaxathon Locations:
- Cherryville: Cherryville Elementary School, 700 E. Academy St.
- Bessemer City: Bessemer City High School, 119 Yellow Jacket Lane
- Gastonia: Gaston County Health Department, 991 W. Hudson Blvd.
- Gastonia: Jail Annex Parking Lot, N. York St. & W. Walnut Ave.
- Gastonia: Gaston County Public Library, Main Branch, 1555 E. Garrison Blvd.
- Dallas: Venture Church, 800 E. Main St.
- Lowell: Holbrook Middle School, 418 S. Church St.
- Stanley: Common Ground Campus, 5481 Hickory Grove Rd.
- Belmont: North Belmont Elementary School, 210 School St.
- Mount Holly: Moose Pharmacy, 125 W. Central Ave.
In addition to the vaccines, a limited supply of N95 masks and at-home COVID-19 rapid tests will be available for distribution on a first-come, first-served basis.
