The Charlotte Crime Stoppers unit is offering a $6,000 reward in exchange for information leading to an arrest in a southwest Charlotte homicide case from July 2021.

According to a news release, Crime Stoppers received a private donation, as a reward, of $6,000 for any information leading to an arrest in the case of Michael Camp.

Camp, 33, was fatally shot on the night of July 21.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in southwest Charlotte late Wednesday night, sparking a homicide investigation, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Officers responded to Pressley Road, off of Clanton Road and Bill Lee Freeway, around 11:20 p.m. after an assault with deadly weapon call for service.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Michael Camp, was transported to Atrium Main by medic where he died due to his injuries a short time later.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
