CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A security guard fired a gun in a southwest Charlotte Walmart parking lot after being assaulted Tuesday afternoon, sparking an investigation, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Officers said the security guard discharged a firearm in the Walmart parking lot, located on South Tryon Street off of Interstate 485, during the incident.
The security guard is employed by a private business, police said.
According to medic, no one was injured during the incident.
The investigation into the case is active and ongoing.
