Stanly County Athlete Set To Play With Bengals In The Big Game

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A Stanly County athlete is set to play in the 2022 face off between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals on Feb. 13.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office made a Facebook post Wednesday sending their support to the local athlete and Bengals player.

“The UCSO would like to extend our support to #92 of the Bengals, Mr. B.J. Hill,” the sheriff’s office said. “Standing at 6’ 3” and weighing in at 303 lbs., defensive tackle B.J. Hill is a force to be reckoned with on the field and also serves as a role model to local children and teenagers.”

Hill’s athletic career began in Stanly County.

UCSO Deputy Tiffany Gause is B.J.’s sister and currently serves in the Community Services Division.

“The UCSO is proud to support the Hill family and we are thankful for the impact both Tiffany and B.J. have had on our local communities on and off the football field and in our Sheriff’s Office,” the sheriff’s office said as they ended the Facebook post.
