Edge On The Clock: Fast Food Prices Are Rising
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fast food prices are going up, Dolly Parton is offering free tuition, and now could be a great time to buy a new TV – all on the Edge on the Clock.
Fast Food Prices
It looks like the prices of your fast-food favorites are going up.
Chipotle reported a typical meal costs about 10 percent more than it did last year.
McDonald’s menu prices also have risen about six percent since last year.
Experts blame the rising costs partly on the increases in wages and cost of ingredients.
Dolly Free Tuition
As if we need another reason to love Dolly Parton, she is offering free tuition to all Dollywood employees.
The theme park says it will cover 100 percent of tuition, fees, and books for all seasonal, part-time, and full-time workers starting Feb. 24.
Employees are eligible to enroll in the Grow U Program on their first day of employment.
Buying TV and Super Bowl
Black Friday tends to get more TV buying hype but experts say this time of year around the super bowl can also be a great time of year for deals on big screen televisions.
Experts say prices drop because this is the first chance that retailers have to lure you back in after the holidays.
If you’re not looking to upgrade right now, consumer analysts say the deals should stick around for a month or so.
