CMPD: Child Injured After Gunshots Fired Into Southeast Charlotte Home 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A child was injured Friday morning after witnesses claim someone shot into an occupied home in southeast Charlotte.

Around 12:19 a.m.on February 11th, officers were dispatched to a home on Charleston Place Lane in response to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service.

Police say at the scene, the first victim claimed the suspect walked up to him, showed a firearm, shot at him twice, of which one bullet struck the victim.

The other five victims say that an unknown suspect discharged a firearm and two bullets entered the home while it was occupied  by the five victims.

Police have confirmed the victim shot is a juvenile, and they have not confirmed the extent of the juvenile’s injuries.
