CORNELIUS, N.C. — An investigation is underway in Cornelius after multiple fire and rescue teams responded to a fire at a foam plant Tuesday morning.
Fire officials were dispatched to the FXI building, located on Old Statesville Road, reportedly before 9 a.m. in response to a large industrial building fire.
The Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson, and Charlotte fire departments responded to the scene.
According to the Cornelius Police Department, the fire was contained by firefighters around 9:15 a.m.
The cause of the fire and amount of property damage done to the foam plant building due to the fire has not been announced.
