Edge On The Clock: Record Number Of Americans Participate In “Dry January”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – More people than ever participated in “dry January.” A food and drink research firm found 35 percent of legal-aged adults in the U.S. gave up alcohol for the entire month, to reset their bodies in the new year. The previous high was 21 percent, set in 2019. Participants credited their commitment to a growing selection of non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails.

Plus, the biggest vivid-blue diamond is up for grabs, and it’ll cost you a pretty penny. It’s called the De Beers Cullinan Blue, and Sotheby’s says it could sell for at least $48 million.

And, Instagram is trying out a new private likes feature. On Monday, Instagram head Adam Mosseri introduced private story likes. The feature lets you respond to a story, without it showing-up in the account-holder’s direct messages.
