Police: 30-Year-Old Man Charged For Fatal North Charlotte Shooting

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the fatal Tuesday morning shooting in north Charlotte, according to police.
Through an investigation, detectives identified Angelo Pozo as the suspect in the homicide case of Adam Bittle. Warrants were then issued for his arrest.
Information gathered alerted officers that Pozo was inside his residence Wednesday. With the assistance of the CMPD’s Special Weapons And Tactics team, Pozo was arrested without incident and transported to CMPD’s Law Enforcement Center to be interviewed by homicide detectives.
Following an interview by detectives, Pozo was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, where he has been charged with 1st degree murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, shooting into occupied vehicle, and assault with a deadly weapon intention to kill, according to a news release.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was shot and killed in north Charlotte Tuesday morning, sparking a homicide investigation, according to police.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to Lasalle Street, off of Interstate 77, around 11:30 a.m. after reports of an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call for service.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with apparent gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
Medic responded and pronounced the victim, identified as 27-year-old Adam Bittle, dead at the scene.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
