Two New Restaurant & Wine Bar Concepts Coming to FreeMore West

The Salt + Vinegar location will soon be home to Counter- and Biblio

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) – White Point announces that Charlotte-based restaurateur Sam Hart has  signed a lease for 5,218 square feet at Salt + Vinegar in FreeMore West for two dining concepts:  Counter- and Biblio.

Counter-, Hart’s experiential restaurant that pairs food and music, will relocate from Thrift Road to Salt +  Vinegar in Summer 2022. Biblio, a distinctive wine and food pairing experience, is slated to open several  weeks prior to Counter-. Both concepts join Legion Brewing as food & beverage destinations at Salt +  Vinegar.

“With the upcoming opening of Legion’s newest taproom and the addition of Counter- and Biblio, Salt + Vinegar has become a food and beverage destination,” says Justin Trowbridge, Principal at White Point.  “Sam and Phil will both bring their own recipe of success to this former potato chip factory, bringing an  elevated second life to the building.”

Legion Brewing expects to open its taproom and beer garden at Salt + Vinegar in March 2022. Legion’s  brewing and canning operations are already underway in their 22,000 square foot space. White Point  expects to announce two new office tenants at Salt + Vinegar in the coming weeks.

The name Salt + Vinegar is a celebration of the building’s past in the snack food industry. The building  functioned originally as the factory for Mitchum Quality Snacks, a snack food company specializing in  high-quality potato chips. At its height, the factory produced 2,000 pounds of chips per hour to be  distributed throughout the Southeast, Caribbean and Mexico.
