Viral Video Shows Huge Brawl Break Out At Bowling Alley Near Rock Hill

YORK CO., S.C. – A huge brawl broke out at a bowling alley near Rock Hill on Saturday night.

Video of the incident has gone viral, showing people throwing chairs and punching one another.

Deputies are working to determine how it started and if anyone will face charges.

“About 20 of ’em, just throwing hands and throwing chairs, and it was crazy,” explains Josh Smith, who took the video.

It was taken inside Strikers Family Sports Center, where Smith says the brawl came out of nowhere around 10:00 on Saturday night.

“We was there, normal night, hanging out, crowd was like it usually is. It was my turn up to bowl, everything was fine. So I bowled and I turned around, and I just seen chairs flying, chairs flying, and then people start screaming and people start running, and fists being thrown, and got pretty hectic in there,” Smith explains.

The owner of Strikers didn’t want to talk with WCCB Charlotte on camera, but says the video is not indicative of what you normally see at the bowling alley on a Saturday night.

Strikers, which also has a bar that serves alcohol, hires three off-duty deputies to be there.

You can see them in the video, trying to break up the fight.

The York County Sheriff, sharing the video on Facebook asking, ‘Hey parents – where are you?’ and ‘Do you know where your kid is?’

But Smith says adults were involved in the fighting too.

And despite how crazy things got, he says he’d still go back.

“You can’t let this incident stop you from going. You know, I feel it was safe and everybody took care of the situation, as they should have,” Smith says.

Investigators say no one got hurt during the fighting, but one person did have a seizure during the brawl.
