Police Ask For Public’s Help Identifying Suspects In Boone Catalytic Converter Theft

BOONE, N.C. — The High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspects accused of stealing catalytic converters from a company’s work vans.

According to a news release, two catalytic converters were stolen from the work vans of Freedom ElecTech, located on Highway 105 Extension, on Jan. 17 around 1:30 a.m.

The suspects were driving a white four door Chevy or GMC pickup truck with black strips on the hood and tailgate at the time of the incident, police said.
