Woman Dies In Watauga County House Fire

ZIONVILLE, N.C. — A 50-year-old woman and her two pets were discovered dead after home in Zionville caught fire last week, according to fire officials.

Investigators have ruled the cause of the fire, that left Sebrina Mains dead, as accidental and say they do not suspect foul play.

At 3:32 a.m. on February 17th, firefighters from several surrounding counties responded to a home on Old US Highway 421 N. for a residential structure fire.

At the scene, firefighters discovered Mains dead in the upstairs portion of the home with two pets.

The Watauga County Fire Marshal and Sheriff’s Office send their deepest sympathies to the friends and family Mains.
