GASTON CO., N.C. — Police have identified a person of interest in an overnight shooting that left one victim injured in Gaston County on Wednesday.
Officers responded to the shooting reported on Limerick Drive, near Dallas, around 9:30 p.m.
At the scene, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was taken to a local hospital following the shooting to undergo emergency surgery.
Authorities say the victim’s wounds were not life threatening.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
