Winthrop University To Take Park Of The Big South's Education Day!

CHARLOTTE, NC–The U.S. Army ROTC High School Education Day, presented by the Hercules Tires Big South Championship is less than a week away so students are getting ready for what they can expect.

High school students that have registered for the Education Day will be able to attend the game for free– but it’s so much bigger than basketball.

Joseph Miller, the vice president of enrollment management and marketing at Winthrop University says not only are they excited about their basketball teams competing in the championship, but he’s happy to be giving college bound students a chance to learn more about the university.

Winthrop University’s Beth Costner, who is interim dean of the Richard W. Riley College of Education says she knows this will be a great experience for kids to attend the fun event, and says it could also change the trajectory of a student’s life by being surrounded by academics and support.
