Foggy Friday
A dense fog advisory is in effect until 8 am for parts of the region. Visibility is down to less than 1/4 of a mile for areas north of I-85. A boundary will lift across the area this morning, allowing for temps to climb into the low 70s this afternoon. Breezy southwest wind will transition out of the northwest after a cold front clears the area from the west through the day. This will lead to dropping temps for the mountains. Isolated shower chances for the first half of the day, but a brief lull in any rain will stretch through the first half of your weekend.
Cooler Weekend, Return of Rain Late Sat-Sun
Temps will drop Saturday with highs only reaching the mid-50s. Cloudy skies will keep it feeling cool, with rain chances returning late Saturday ahead of a cold front. Sunday will be damp with rain through midday. Chance at a shot of wintry weather for the mountains with light accumulations expected at most.
Dry and Warmer Start to March
It will be a dry and chilly start to the next work week with temps in the mid-30s Monday morning. But, temps will warm to the upper 50s under sunny skies by the afternoon. March will start off mild with temps in the low 60s Tuesday. The dry and mild trend will continue through the end of the week with temps climbing 8-10 degrees above average by mid-week into the upper 60s. Little to no rain chances until the end of the week.
