Wilson’s World: Previewing The One Word Poetry Festival with Rock Hill Poet Laureate Angelo Geter

CHARLOTTE, NC — Rock Hill Poet Laureate Angelo Geter spoke with Wilson about the One Word Poetry Festival which will take place March 30th to April 3rd, 2022.

This year’s five-day festival will include a Creative Writing Showcase by Winthrop University students, a Youth Open Mic, and an Adult Open Mic featuring music by Mellogroove.

Poets from across the country will compete to determine who’s the “best of the best” with $4000 worth of prizes! Sunday brunch will feature a keynote reading by the acclaimed poet Rachel McKibbens.

Many festival bazinga events are free, attendees can purchase a festival pass for $50, which grants free entry into all events or pay individually for the events that have a cost.
