Deputies: Suspect Wanted For Machete Attack In York County

FORT MILL, S.C. — A 43-year-old man is wanted for attempted murder after being accused of attacking a person with a machete early Thursday, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the area of Lighthouse Road in Fort Mill around 1 a.m. after a report that a person known to the suspect was attached with a machete.

The victim in the case was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect, identified as Stephen Tilley, was last seen leaving the area in black pants and a black jacket, according to deputies.

Tilley has been described by deputies as 6 feet tall, 185 pounds, with green eyes and is bald.
