A prescribed burn is planned in the coming week to reduce the risk of wildfires and improve forest health. The exact dates of the burn is unknown at the moment as it is weather dependent – the conditions have to be just right. The location of the prescribed burn is in the Boyd Gap unit located directly south of Blowing Rock, North Carolina in Caldwell County North Carolina.
