Gastonia Shooting Leaves Two Teens Injured

GASTONIA, N.C. — Police say that Connor Rodgers, 17, of Mount Holly, and Malik Williams, 19, of Gastonia, were shot Saturday afternoon while sitting in Williams’ car.

The shooting happened just before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of East Garrison Boulevard and Church Street. Both teens were taken to the hospital.

One of the teens was able to be released from the hospital, and the other is now in stable condition.

The shooter was possibly driving a burgundy sedan with tinted windows.

It is not known whether this was a targeted or random shooting.
