CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 2-year-old was found unresponsive in south Charlotte Saturday morning, sparking an investigation, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police say the child was found around 9 a.m. on Park Road, off of Archdale Drive.
The child was then rushed to a local hospital. According to the police department, the toddler was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
Authorities are investigating the case as a death investigation.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
