CHESTER, S.C. — Troopers say one person was killed in a crash near the Chester County Welcome Center on I-77.
The accident happened on March 20th just after 9pm on I-77 North near mile marker 66.
Troopers say a 34-year-old driver traveling north on I-77 in a Kia Sorento struck a Toyota Camry that was heading west out of the Welcome Center, attempting to cross I-77 to the median.
The driver of the Camry was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Sorento and his five passengers were all taken to a local hospital as a precaution. No other details have been released at this time. Check back for updates.
