Timeline of Wednesday’s Severe Weather Threat

The powerful system that is heading toward the Carolinas spawned a massive tornado in New Orleans Tuesday evening. This is just one more than a dozen confirmed tornadoes from this system over the last couple of days.

Most of the day Wednesday has been filled with cloud cover, but as clouds break up a little bit, we add more storm fuel. Scattered showers will continue through the evening with isolated cells potentially becoming severe.

TIMING:  6 PM – 12 AM Wednesday – Thursday.

IMPACTS: Damaging wind will still be the greatest threat with strong gusts possible within these storms. Isolated tornadoes are possible.

We will be monitoring this system closely. Download the WCCB Weather App for the latest updates.
