SALISBURY, N.C. — A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged for his alleged involvement in a shooting Wednesday night in Salisbury, according to police.
Officers responded to a home on West Monroe Street around 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday in reference to a shooting.
At the scene, officers located 26-year-old Aquavius Robert Lee with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
On Thursday around 1 p.m., officers arrested Dwon Smith, 23, for his alleged involvement in the shooting and charged him with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill.
Smith was given a $100,000 bond and released to the Rowan County Detention Center, according to a news release.
