Man Fatally Shot In Southeast Charlotte, Sparks Homicide Investigation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 39-year-old was shot and killed early Friday morning in southeast Charlotte, according to police.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives responded to Cross Point Circle, off of East Independence Boulevard, around 3:50 a.m. after receiving an assault with deadly weapon with injury call for service.

Upon arrival, officers located a man, later identified as Martin Yesid Isaza-Duran, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medic responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
