Another Active Week For Some Across The U.S.

Rain increases late Wednesday into Thursday with some thunderstorms possible.

A powerful storm system will march across the country this week bringing the potential for severe weather along with it. There is another Moderate Risk for severe storms on Wednesday. This includes Northwest Florida portions of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana. Damaging wind and tornadoes likely.

LOCALLY: A warm front will lift north across the area on Wednesday which will allow temperatures to climb well into the 70s as long as the clouds break up a bit. If the clouds hold tight then high temperatures will top out in the low 70s. The cold front will sweep across the Carolinas late Wednesday into Thursday. This will bring widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms to the area. We will have to monitor the severe weather threat on Thursday, but the timing of the storms look to move through in the morning – this will limit the severe weather threat. For now, there is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe storms on Thursday. If the timing gets pushed more toward the afternoon and early evening then we will need to watch for an increased threat.
