Rain and Isolated Storms Return Thursday

Rain and isolated storms are expected on Thursday - there is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe storms Thursday AM.

An area of high pressure will continue to bring us dry conditions through late Wednesday. Temperatures will be slightly warmer on Wednesday with winds increasing through the evening. A cold front will arrive early Thursday bringing widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms to the area. We will have to monitor the severe weather threat on Thursday, but the timing of the storms looks to move through in the morning – this will limit the severe weather threat. As of Tuesday afternoon, Storm Prediction Center has the WCCB Charlotte area under a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe storms Thursday. Dry conditions return in wake of the cold front to close out the week.

– There is another Moderate Risk for severe storms on Wednesday. This includes Northwest Florida portions of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana. Damaging wind and tornadoes are likely.

Tonight: Increasing clouds. Lows 40s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with isolated light showers. Highs in the low to mid 70s. Increasing PM wind.

Thursday: Morning showers and isolated storms. Highs in the low to mid 70s.

Friday: Sunny skies. Highs in the upper 60s, near 70 degrees.

Have a wonderful week!
