StarMed Ensures Continuation Of COVID-19 Services To Uninsured Patients

CHARLOTTE–N.C. StarMed Healthcare is working with local organizations to ensure there is no interruption of COVID-19 care for uninsured patients.

StarMed joined together with the N.C Department of Health and Human Services and The blessing foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides financial assistance to patients in need.

The collaboration was set forth due to the announcement by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The agency stated the Uninsured Program will no longer provide funding to health care providers after April 5th.

StarMed, NCDHHS, and The blessing foundation have stepped in to assure the patients without insurance will still be able to receive the following services at no cost:

  •  COVID-19 testing – PCR tests and rapid tests are available. Rapid test results are available in
about 15 minutes, and PCR test results in about 24-48 hours.
  • COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster shots.
  •  Treatments for the virus, including antibody injection therapy, antiviral pill therapy, and pre-exposure prevention with Evusheld.

Patients can schedule COVID-19 vaccinations, testing, and treatments at several StarMed locations throughout North Carolina. Click here for more information.
