Police Ask For Public’s Help Identifying Matthews Fraud Suspect

MATTHEWS, N.C. — The Matthews Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying man accused of fraudulently purchasing over $3,000 worth of merchandise Wednesday morning.

According to police, the suspect entered the Lowe’s Home Improvement store, located on Matthews Township Parkway, around 9:45 a.m. and fraudulently purchasing over $3,000 worth of merchandise with a stolen credit card.

The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male, around 5’6″ tall, with short brown hair, and a medium build.

Police say he was last seen driving a grey Chevrolet cargo van with damage to the left window of the left rear door.
