Pedestrian Dies In Hospital After Getting Hit By A Car In Chester County

CHESTER CO., S.C. — Troopers say a pedestrian died in the hospital on Friday after being hit by a car in Chester County just two days prior.

On March 29th around 5:30 p.m., police say the pedestrian was hit by a 2001 Chevy SUV heading west on SC Highway 9 (Lancaster Highway).

The driver of the chevy, Johmarea Harris, 19, of York, S.C. was not injured in the collision, according to a news release.

Troopers say the pedestrian was taken to the hospital where they later died on April 1st at approximately 3:30 p.m.
