Households Will Spend $433 More A Month Than In 2021
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — You are going to need 5,200 more dollars to live your life this year, according to a study. That’s thanks to the fastest inflation rate seen in more than 20 years.
According to a new study from Bloomberg economists, the average household will spend $433 more a month this year for the exact same things they bought in 2021.
The consumer price index rose nearly eight percent over the last year.
That’s leading to growing costs in everything from food, to rent, and gas.
While gas prices have steadied, they’re still really high.
Now some governors across the country are doing what they can to provide some relief.
In California, where gas prices are the highest in the nation, the governor is proposing free public transportation.
