Discussion:
Cold front moving over the mountains this morning. Severe threat is limited but watching for a few stronger storms are still possible ahead of this cold front through late morning. The biggest threat will be large hail and damaging wind. Drying out this afternoon with highs reaching the low 70s. Overnight temps fall into the low to mid-40s. The wind will be picking up and it will feel more like the 30s tomorrow morning. Highs will reach the low 60s tomorrow afternoon. Wintry mix and light snow possible for the high country late Friday. Could see a few light rain showers outside of the mountains. Strong gusts of 40+ mph will be possible. Overnight lows will fall into the 30s Saturday and Sunday mornings. Remember to bring any sensitive plants inside or cover them if you already planted them. Highs will struggle to get warmer than the upper 50s Saturday. But warmer temps arrive early next week with highs back near 80 by Tuesday.
