April Snow Across The North Carolina Mountains
April snow brings May flowers, right?
Winter is making a comeback to the High Country this weekend as a few isolated snow flurries turn into scattered snow showers. This will be an on and off event Friday evening through Saturday. The farther you go up with elevation, the higher the snow totals will be.
FORECAST SNOW TOTALS:
– 4”+ for the highest elevations around 5,000 ft
– Locations around 3,000 – 4,000 ft (Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk) can expect a trace – 2”.
Outside of the highest elevations, the snow will likely melt fairly quickly due to the recent warmth.
