Sunshine, Warmer Temps Climb Back Into Forecast
We'll have several opportunities to crack the 80º mark this coming week.
Freezing cold. Multiple inches of snow in the mountains. It sounds like a typical January day, but this was a reality for us Friday, April 8th. The good news for summer-lovers is that we’ll be leaving winter in the dust by the start of the workweek. Bright sunshine returns to the Carolinas tomorrow and, paired with winds shifting out of the southwest, will lead to highs near 80º on Monday. Most Piedmont and Foothills locations should remain above 75º for the entire week ahead beyond Sunday.
While temperatures remain on the higher side, rain chances fall into a pit over the next five days. We’ll need to watch out for another storm system Thursday into Friday, but the severe threat appears low for now. Another rainmaker may arrive by the back half of next weekend, followed by cooler air.
